Lots of ways to do this, this is how we did it:
To make the ridges we use a saw-blade with triangles cut out of one edge. The space between the ridges is no more than 5 cm. With a long spline (1 meter or so) we sand down the ridges, taking great care not to sand them down too far. Using this method you'll hit glass before you know it!
If the glass is 'hit' somewhere, then it is impossible to smooth sand the surface afterwards since there is nothing to sand. If the weave is beginning to show through the ridges then you have to stop sanding immediately with this method!
The gaps between the ridges are filled with the help of a ruler or a saw-blade, as is done
in this picture.
After cure the surface is sanded again to smooth everything out, like in the picture at the top of this page.
The filler looks very tasty, a bit like whipped cream.
It certainly smells different though!
Bart forgot about his mouthcap and used an other one. Guess what he found when
he stepped under the shower.
