The parts of stage 1 are probably the most straightforward parts to build on the Europa. After building these you really believe that you're able to build the entire aeroplane within the promissed 600 hours or so.

The tailplanes are relatively easy to make, although our foam cores were not entirely straight so whe had to weigh them down quite heavily while curing, as you can see in this picture.
